Peter Wyman

 

Advisory Group Chairman


peter-wymanPeter is Chairman of the Pasco Advisory Group. He was a partner in PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP between 1978 and 2010 and was President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 2002/03. He was awarded a CBE for services to the accountancy profession in 2006.


Peter holds a number of other senior appointments including Chairman of the Somerset Community Foundation, Treasurer of the University of Bath, Director of the City of London Sinfonia, Senior Advisor to Albright Stonebridge Group LLC, and Chairman of Sir Richard Sutton's Settled Estates.

lynda-chalkerLynda is Chairman of Pasco Risk Management. Lynda was Minister of State for Overseas Development at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office between 1986 and 1997, holding responsibility for Africa and the Commonwealth. She was made a Life Peer in 1992.

 

Lynda held the positions of Advisory and Non-Executive Director of Unilever between 1998 and 2007. She is currently Chairman of Africa Matters Limited (AML) and a Non-Executive Director of Group Five (Pty). She is also a member of the international advisory board of Lafarge et Cie. Lynda has advised the World Bank for over 10 years and was Chairman of the Board of Medicines for Malaria Venture MMV between 2006 and 2011.

 

She is an Executive Trustee of the Global Leadership Foundation (GLF) and Trustee of the Investment Climate Facility for Africa (ICF), as well as being a patron of several charities. Lynda is also co-ordinator of the Honorary International Investment Council of President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria and a member of similar bodies in Uganda and Tanzania.

norman-lamontLord Lamont was Chancellor of the Exchequer between 1990 and 1993 and chaired the G7 group of Finance Ministers and the European Union Finance Ministers from 1990 to 1993. He was made a Life Peer in 1998.


Before entering Parliament, Lord Lamont had a distinguished career in financial services, working for N M Rothschild & Sons, where he became director of Rothschild Asset Management. Norman read Economics at Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge. In addition to his role as a working peer, he is a director of and a consultant to various companies in the financial sector.

George Nicholls

George is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pasco Risk Holdings (Proprietary) Limited. George holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Bristol and a Master's degree from Herriot-Watt University. George has extensive experience in advising clients upon emerging market political risk, security and investigative matters throughout Africa, BRICS and the Middle East.

 

George has extensive experience in both managing and conducting forensic investigations for government agencies, NGOs and blue chip companies and has conducted investigations for clients in more than 20 countries throughout Africa, Europe and the Middle East. George has trained law enforcement agencies of several African governments in forensic investigations, computer forensic investigations, investigative interview techniques, asset tracing and asset recovery, back ground screening and due diligence.

David Middleton

David is an Executive Director of Pasco Risk Holdings (Proprietary) Limited. David holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Oxford. He has extensive knowledge and experience of international affairs, particularly in Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and Europe, after a long career in the Foreign and Commonwealth office and postings in Zambia, Jordan, Japan and Germany.

 

David is responsible for Pasco's global operations and is a subject matter expert on emerging market political risk. David brings extensive experience to both Pasco and advising clients that operate or undertake transactions in emerging markets.

Peter Davies

 

Advisory Board Member

 

Peter has been a member of the Advisory Board since January 2010. He is a Physics graduate and entered banking as a graduate trainee in 1971 with Manufacturer Hanover Trust Company of New York in London. In 1979 he joined the investment bank, Morgan Grenfell & Co Limited, and became a Director in 1991 until 1998. He was a Director of the Middle East Association from 1997 to 2003. From February 2002 to December 2007 he was Chairman of The Merchant International Group Limited.


He is Chairman of the Appeal Committee of The British Institute for the Study of Iraq and Hon. Treasurer of the British Iraqi Friendship Society.
